The Future of The Neisner Building

The Neisner Building on East Avenue has a storied past, originally serving as a bustling retail hub in Rochester. Constructed in the early 20th century, it housed Neisner’s, a popular five-and-dime store chain. Known for its affordability and variety, Neisner’s became a beloved shopping destination for the community. Over the decades, the building saw various uses and tenants, reflecting the changing landscape of East Avenue.

Coming Summer 2025, the historic Neisner Building will be transformed into The Neisner at East End, Rochester’s latest addition to the downtown revitalization efforts. Our brand-new apartment community will feature 54 beautifully designed studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments with modern cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, in-home washers and dryers, and options for restored hardwood or concrete-like flooring. Community amenities will include a welcoming resident lounge and coffee bar, secluded co-work and study spaces, a fully equipped fitness center, and even a pampering dog spa. Seamlessly blending historical charm with contemporary living, The Neisner at East End promises a unique urban experience for its residents.
