The Fish Hatchery at Powder Mills Park
The Riedman Foundation operates The Fish Hatchery at Powder Mills Park while Riedman generously built the shelter within the hatchery. Additionally, Riedman has made many other improvements within the hatchery to help provide a more welcoming atmosphere for visitors.
Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine
Riedman demonstrates our commitment to Erie, Pennsylvania through active support of LECOM’s educational mission, including contributions to the Student Scholarship Fund and various capital improvement projects. Our strategic expansion into Elmira, NY directly addressed LECOM’s student housing needs through the development of our new apartment community.
A Step into Africa Exhibit at the Seneca Park Zoo
David Riedman generously chaired the “A Step Into Africa” capital campaign that funded the development of the 5-acre African animal exhibit at the Seneca Park Zoo. David is a past Chairman of the Board and a past board member of the Seneca Park Zoo Society.
YMCA’s Invest in Youth Campaign
Riedman donated the profits from one of the homes it built to specifically benefit the YMCA’s Invest in Youth campaign. Additionally, the Riedman team has built the Leadership Village at Camp Cory which will allow the YMCA to serve more campers and staff eager to participate.
David Riedman currently serves as Chair of the YMCA of Greater Rochester’s board of directors.
Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Western New York Chapter
Riedman has donated to support JDRF’s critical research initiatives to help find a cure for those with type I diabetes.
The Salvation Army
During the holiday season, The Hammocks communities collect donations of canned goods, clothing, and toys for families in need.
American Red Cross
The Hammocks communities have hosted annual Blood Drives to help individuals who are in need of blood.
Toys for Tots
Several of the Riedman communities have participated in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve’s Toys for Tots campaign in an effort to spread Christmas joy to children who are less fortunate.
